The International Sign Association (ISA; Alexandria, VA) has announced that Lori Anderson, ISA president and CEO, has been named Trade Association Executive of the Year by Association TRENDS, according to a press release. As the recipient of one of the most prestigious awards in the association industry, she will be honored at the annual Salute to Association Excellence awards in Washington on March 13.

Anderson recently celebrated her 20th anniversary at the helm of ISA. “Over the past two decades, her leadership has transformed the structure, culture, and public image of the organization,” reads a portion of the press release. “She reformed ISA’s governance and strengthened the relationship between the Board and staff, resulting in a growth of volunteerism and a stable, long-tenured team. Her changes to membership, finances, and advocacy have allowed ISA to expand its programs to better meet the needs of ISA and Affiliated Association members in a rapidly changing environment.”

“I am deeply honored to receive this award and join the company of friends and colleagues I have looked up to for years,” Anderson is quoted in the release. “I couldn’t have gotten here without the support of ISA and the association community, and I intend to give back for the duration of my career and beyond.”
